Product Shots - We Are Messengers

Yesterday I took some product shots for the new X-Mas card range by We Are Messengers.

These cards are gorgeous, and I even got a tour of Tanya's workshop. 'Each card is silk screen printed using the finest acrylic inks on an FSC certified 70% recycled stock and each card comes with a 100% recycled Brown Kraft envelope.'

alloneword bar

Not a big fan of this new bar's name... but what's in a name? A lychee martini by any other name would still taste as sweet. I love this place because it hasn't been over-hyped, you would hardly know it was there. But trust your freinds when they tell you - it's great. Definitely my kind of place.

casiotone - for the not so alone

I was melting into a big pile of uninspired microsoft mush when Amy form Grey Grid Paper revived me – reminding me of the wonderful Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. Can't say I am painfully alone. Not at all really, but now I am inspired again. Cheers Amy!

wonderful tonight

I am reading Wonderful Today, the Autobiography of Pattie Boyd - photographer, former model, and rock-and-roll muse. These photos are of Pattie and her first husband George Harrison (#2 by Henry Grossman).

I haven’t yet gotten to the part where Pattie and George split, but I do know that she goes on to marry Eric Clapton. Imagine being the inspiration for some of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Wow.

mishy loves melbourne

I'm back from my Melbourne weekend. I got to see some family, beautiful friends, the beaches of Torquay, Fitzroy shops, and even the burbs - aka Sanctuary Lakes.

So Melbourne... I think I love you. I'm back with Brisbane now to tell him the bad news. See you soon. xoxo

What inspires you?

You often see what inspires me. So today I thought I would run a little project of what inspires YOU.

Please email an image to
mishylane {at} gmail {dot} com at some stage of your day. It can be anything, and you do not have to explain your choice. Feel free to include a link to your blog or website and I will happily include that.
Ok. So send away!

DJ - By Mishy

waking up to a model

I'm doing a 6am photo-shoot tomorrow with a guy - DJ. He needs some updated shots for his modeling portfolio and it's one of the first male model-shoots I've done. So I thought I'd stay up and get some inspiration on how to create a stylish & intriguing shoot for DJ. Wish me luck... I'll post them over the weekend.

more melbourne

My melbourne polaroid post inspired the lovely Amy of grey grid paper blog to post some of her own melbourne photos. So cute! I especially love the one of 'Lance' and the babushka dolls!!! We are both flying down to our "happy place" next week and I'm sure we will have more photos to share on our return back to Brisnayland.
