Last night I went to the preview of Lazarus Won't Get Out of Bed - a quirky new play by Dave Burton playing at Brisbane's Metro Arts. It's about a very depressed Lazarus. Poor Laz... as his reality falls apart he becomes any pop culture icon he chooses, but only within the comfort of his own bedroom. However, everything begins to change with the arrival of mysterious character Syd.
I won't tell you too much, but the set design, costume design and talent of the cast was amazing. If you're in Brisbane I recommend you go and support young local and very talented artists!
