All City iPhone App

This needed to happen, so I’m glad that someone has finally done it. All City is an iPhone app that maps out street art and graffiti for users based on their current location.

Wandering through an unfamiliar city or part of town and want to check out the art? Just pull up All City on your phone and see what’s nearby. And of course, you can add to the global map yourself via your iPhone. So far, there aren’t many pieces that have been tagged in London, but it’s just a matter of time before All City becomes super-useful. In the mean time, it’s fun to upload images and contribute to the growing community.

DisBand

DisBand - an exhibition presented by Angela D’Alton and Renee Anne of Leeloo.com.au opens this Thursday May 27th at aMBUSH gallery in Sydney and (thankfully for me) will travel to Melbourne in August, showing at No Vacancy Gallery.

The show includes work by many talented Australian artists and illustrators including Ben Zen and the brilliantly contravercial Natalie Perkins. Renee and Angela will be creating somewhat of an installation where visitors will tour the apartment of a couple undergoing such a split, and the featured works will be on the wall of their “living space”.

art of the trench

ArtoftheTrench.com is an ongoing project between Burberry and some of the world’s leading image makers (most helmed by Sartorialist Scott Schuman), building a living testament to the trench coat with regular collaborations being announced. You can submit your own portraits to feature on the site, creating a body of images reflecting personal trench coat style across the globe. And it has a great little soundtrack too.

Breakfast Out

In my opinion, there are few things better to do on a weekend than have a nice brekky out. And  look what I found, a website all about the best places to eat breakfast in Melbourne (and coming soon to Sydney). Breakfast Out.

feet are for kicking

“Chairs got feet! And feet are for kicking” thought Jakob Maurer, Rupert Adlmaier and Thomas Egger. Taking theory in action the three designers from Italy and Germany made a special tabletop soccer from different furniture elements; an old dresser combined with a ordinary kitchen table whose feet are standing on roller skates whilst a drawer and a half cooking pot represent the goals fixed with a tension belt.
