... let's make it a Brisbane hat-trick! Fifth Battery Coffee Roasters are the newest roaster on the Valley block and they have a serious passion for coffee. A brother of the popular Brother Espresso, Fifth Battery has now opened in an old hangar at 23 Warry Street Fortitute Valley. Can't wait to come back for a visit.

the rocketsmiths debut

Australian rockers The Rocktsmiths have their debut album The Bones out and I have been listening to the free stream all morning. These guys are seriously ace. They are Brisbane lads, but if you get the chance to see them live, please go! They are so much fun to watch. Oh and I want their t-shirt! A bear riding in a shopping trolley? Oh yes!

I am lucky enough to live in such an amazing, huge country and although I am still yet to travel across the sea to different cultures, I have seen quite a lot of Australia. I have been to hundreds of beautiful beach towns, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne, the wineries of the Clare, the Barossa and the Hunter Valley, the countryside, rainforests and even verging on the desert. But there is still so much I want to see. And oh how I would LOVE to see it with a cute little old van tugging along behind me.
