T2: My Cup of Tea

I never thought about it before, but after visiting T2 Teahouse at Chermside again on Mothers Day, I looked into it and the brand is totally Australian! MaryAnne Shearer is the name behind the brand, and this inspiring business women is from Melbourne.

“For most of my adult life I have been a passionate devotee for all types of tea. 10 years ago I decided to share this passion and open my first store. Its been an amazing 10 years and we have succeeded in sharing our passion for tea with great many people and we hope to keep on doing this for years to come” …

The stores and branding are designed by SAE Creative and are a total consumer experience as you can see from the piccies above. I could spend hours pottering around the store admiring all of the tea 'accessories', and my mother in-law was fascinated with all of the tea testers. Delicious

I was given a T2 Chai tea set for my engagement from my Maid of Honour; Tori, and I love it.  There's something so special and soothing about brewing your own loose leaf tea in a cute little teapot. It's so much more rewarding than ordering one from Gloria Jeans (yuck). I guess because it feels a little bit sentimental; I always think when I am pouring my cup "Nan would be oh so proud".

omg I love this place. I've still got a gift voucher to spend there. And I have Chai Tea Tower - yum! My best experience was walking into the Newtown, Sydney store on a ridiculously hot day to be greet with an ice-cold Turkish Apple tea for free. Blissss...
