There's so much hype around Cloundland - the new bar in Brisbane designed by Nic Brunner. If you live here you've been there already. But for those of you who don't live here... well it doesn't mattter, because I think that the best time to see it is in daylight! In pictures!! With no drunkies around sliding down the bathroom steps in their new Powerhouse dresses!!!
I'm not scared to say that it looks good in the pictures, but when you're there you don't really "feel" anything other than boredom waiting for a drink at the bar and listenning to elevator music.
Sorry, but to me it's just another wanky design with no real heart.

Wondering if you have been back to Cloudland recently? it did have a few teething problems to start which was kind of to be expected - especially in a place that's bigger than Ben Hur! Maybe you might like to check it out on a relaxed Sunday afternoon? Cloudland is launching Madame Hedges Garden Party next month complete with astro turf, cocktails in teapots and the odd game of croquet!
