Bessie Head Shoot: Final Cut

Natalie Moore - Stylist is really happy with the shots from our Bessie Head photo shoot. We went through her final cut and now I just need to go through and do some minor fix ups with lighting and cropping. Sharon is so damn gorgeous that there'll be no airbrushing at all. Just the way Natalie and I like to work - la-naturalle. I'll post them soon.

It's nearly the weekend again and I only just had a chance to check out the photos I took last week at the Southbank Young Designer Markets. Ange and I had an awesome day in the sunshine, checking out all the local design talent. I even got to meet a few talented people, like Nicole from Hot Toffee, and Chi from Chi Designs (who I recently designed a new logo for).

Sharon Montrose is an amazing commercial photographer who specialises in photographing animals and children. I just love her gorgeous animal prints, I mean just check out Bambi! It must be a beautiful and bright world when you work creatively with animals and children every day!

Also, her husband has set up shop on Etsy at Chalk Chalk with his handcrafted chalkboard originals or affordable open edition prints. Very nice Mr!

Baby can you handle?

I adore this handlebar bag by Death & Texas made from natural vegetable-tanned leather and cotton ticking fabric. It straps to you treddly, and when you whip it off it becomes a hot little handbag or clutch. Genius!

It's fixed!

Hoorah! Some cheerful / colourful pictures today to celebrate. Thanks to my hardworking man, my computer is all better! He even bought me a new external hard-drive with gazillions of space, so all of my work was backed up in a flash. I didn't lose anything. Phew.

Old Yarns - the pillows

There was such a great response to the Old Yarns pillows {top} over at decor8. And I know... aren't they beautiful! Well, Kristina is the lady behind these gorgeous reclaimed linens, and she has cushion covers, pillow-slips, table-runners and more available in her Old Yarns Etsy Shop.

I took these photos at my beautiful old house on the hill with stylist Natalie Moore. Now I've moved into a shared, 2 bedroom, inner city, modern unit, where I can't have pets. So my baby - Desk (yes my cat's name is Desk) is staying with a friend. It's only been a week and I miss her morning cuddles in bed so much. Isn't she beautiful?

Mantoani uses a Polaroid 20 x 24 camera to photograph photographers with their most famous images. "These masters are famous for holding cameras, but are not used to standing in front of them" (via) Yan Chan.

So the moving is almost done. Phew! The husband has the job of cleaning our old rental house since he has the week off, and as I predicted he's hiring someone to "help" him. Ha!

But our new place in West End is lovely. It feels like we live in a fancy hotel. I can't wait to walk to the markets on Saturday morning, and come home for a swim in the lap pool. That's the life!
